MSK Radiology Online Course

Welcome Radiologists! Spectrum MSK-RAD course is an online academic feast in Musculoskeletal imaging. Here, over a period of six months we hope to clear your basics and give you a systematic method to approach any MSK scan. We would begin with Basics and gradually build on it. What we would focus on is one to one interactions rather than just didactic lectures, to help you understand the biomechanics and intricacies of MSK reporting.

Course consists of 6 modules :
Module 1: Shoulder
Module 2: Elbow, Wrist, Finger and Thumb
Module 3: Spine
Module 4: TM joint, Brachial plexus, Fractures and Approach to Bone tumours
Module 5: Hip, Ankle, Foot and Toe
Module 6: Knee.

Each module spans a month and consists of a mixture of lectures, case discussions and practice cases. Relevant articles will be shared in advance to help better grasp the subject.

If you are a Radiology resident venturing into musculoskeletal radiology or a Consultant who wants to sharpen the edge of their MSK reporting this Course is for you.

On completion of the course, you will feel better prepared to tackle MSK cases and report them.

Course schedule :

6 modules, 6 months
2 weekdays (Monday, Friday) sessions of 90 min x 4 weeks
Exam after completing three modules.

About the Doctor

Qualifications : MBBS, MD, DNB, FRCR, MNAMS Fellow ISVIR (Indian Society of Vascular & Interventional Radiology) Erasmus Musculoskeletal Fellow (Europe). Erasmus Head-Neck imaging Fellow (Europe).

Dr. Sanjay Desai carries an experience of more than eighteen years in independent reporting of all modalities – Conventional radiography, USG, Color Doppler, CT and MRI. Has worked on 0.2 to 3T MRI, spiral CT, Ultrasound, Color Doppler and Angiographies & interventional radiology. Trained in Vascular and interventional radiology in Mumbai. Also trained in USG and CT guided biopsies and other interventions.

He has keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging especially MRI (of wrist, fingers, ankle, foot). He completed a dedicated course in the same at Erasmus course in Valencia, Spain in 2012 and obtained a Diploma. He attended the International Skeletal Society Annual Congress in Edinburgh in 2014. Also routinely do all radiology CT and MRI reporting of all subspecialities.

Till date he has over 100 publications, lectures, presentations, posters to his credit.

Dr. Desai is a member of IMA, IRIA, MSK Soc of India (MSS), Asian MSK Society (AMS), IMSOS.
